At Essential Adult Living Inc., we unite seniors by engaging in recreational activities while offering basic health care services and educational opportunities focused on their particular life stages. We aim to lift seniors at risk of slipping through the cracks, bridging gaps in service by meeting their needs for attention, care, and connection.

OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Yaa Asaa Ankomah – Founder/CEO
Yaa Asaa Ankomah is an accomplished human services professional and an ardent philanthropist with a deep conviction to transform the lives of the elderly from underprivileged communities. Born and raised in Ghana, Ankomah moved to United States where she advanced her studies. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services, she got a chance to serve in various managerial and human relations positions in companies across the state of Massachusetts.
Mrs Ankomah was inspired to establish Essential Adult Living from the experienced she gained supporting her aging father. To offer better care, she spent years researching ways to optimize his health and well-being. Mrs Ankomah founded this organization with a determination to support other seniors in Ghana and across the world.
Mrs Ankomah's unmatched leadership and human relations skills are essential in enhancing our reach and the implementation of our programs.
Racquel Knight –Director
Racquel Knight, our Director, brings extensive experience in social and community services. As a dynamic, dedicated and resourceful social entrepreneur, she is instrumental in spearheading the development of our strategic goals to live out our mission and vision.
Over the years, Racquel has held various leadership positions in various philanthropic and mentoring organizations in the United States. She has helped these organizations expand their reach by assisting in planning, execution, communication, and documentation of program and event reports.
We leverage her excellent organization, managerial and communication to improve our compliance and administrative duties. She is also responsible for the development and implementation of our various programs.
Sheila Folivi – Treasurer/CFO
Sheila Folivi prides herself on being hardworking and organized individual passionate about inclusivity and equitability. She holds an MBA in Management from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fitchburg State University. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant, Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager at Army National Guard, Washington Heights and Bridge Housing respectively. Besides her Treasurer CUM CFO role at Essential Adult Living, she works as an Assistant Property Manager at Aseet Living.
Sheila oversees all our financial functions, including keeping records of our books, planning and analysis, cash management, cost accounting, and metrics analysis and reporting. She also manages the organization’s banking relationships.
Walter Ross – Secretary/Clerk
Walter Ross is the custodian of all our records, including meeting agendas and minutes, licenses, and program reports. Walter also facilitates Essential Adult Living’s internal and external communications.
